St Agnes And Sacred Heart Girls Hit The Court

The game really wasn’t even close but if the smiles on the losing team ‘s faces and cheers from their fans when they scored is any indication of the results you might question if the scoreboard clock was correct.

On Thursday afternoon as part of Holy Trinity Catholic School Division elementary school basketball league the St Agnes girls defeated Sacred Heart in a game that is best described as a clinic where the referee stopped play on several occasions to explain a rule or game skill.

The game was competitive on one hand and on the other hand developmental for teams in the future.

St Agnes took a commanding 38 - 1 first half lead.

But after a few adjustments over half time Sacred Heart came out stronger and played a stronger defensive game.

St Agnes outscored Sacred Heart 20 - 9 in the second half.

Every time Sacred Heart would scored one of their four baskets the crowd would explode with applause.

Here are some photos from the game.
