It’s here.
The Moose Jaw Warriors final game of the regular season.
On the docket was the incredibly tough Saskatoon Blades.
The two teams had met five times previously this season and the tribe had won three of them. Both teams were looking to finish the season on a winning note.
Saskatoon was definitely the hungrier of the two teams in the game’s early goings.
They applied heavy pressure on the Jackson Unger, pelting him with shot after shot before finally cracking the seal in the sixth minute.
The goal was Brandon Lisowsky’s 38th.
Saskatoon scored again in the thirteenth minute, Jayden “Wiener” Wiens, netting his 17th goal of the season, going “five hole” on a breakaway.

After being badly out shot in the first frame, the Warriors were glad for an intermission and an opportunity to recoup.
The break seemed to work and things perked up for the tribe in Period 2, albeit only temporarily. Just three minutes in Atley Calvert, looking to catch up with Jagger Firkus for the team lead in goals, scored his 39th of the campaign.
Then, about halfway through the frame, overaged defenceman Logan Dowhaniuk scored for the second straight game and tied the score.
The tie didn’t last long though as Saskatoon pumped us for two more before the period ended.
The first was from Justin Lies and the second from Atley Calvert’s brother, Rowan. What a special occasion for the Legendary Moose Jaw Calvert’s.

Aptly was playing some great hockey on Saturday night and scored another goal in the third period, levelling the race with Jagger Firkus at 40 a-piece.
It was actually Firkus who set the goal up with a lovely pass, so I’m sure there’s no hard feelings.
…But then, almost immediately after that Trevor Wong put the Blades back up by a pair.
Atley Calvert & Jagger Firkus finished the season with 40 goals each
The final results of the regular season scoring race look like this:
Atley Calvert & Jagger Firkus 40
Ryder Korczak & Brayden Yager 28
Eric Alarie 19
Harper Lolacher and Martin Rysavy 11
Josh Hoekstra 10
Trevor Wong scored his second game, on an empty net, to put the game out of reach.
