Fillies Defeat Flyers 3 - 2 In Fifth Overtime Period
In likely the longest game in Saskatchewan Female Hockey League (SFHL) history the Leroy based East Central Fillies defeated the Milestone U18 A Female Flyers 3 - 2 in the fifth overtime period on Sunday afternoon.
The goal was scored at the 14:22 mark of the fifth overtime or the eighth period of play. Or a game that ran just over 135 minutes of playing time.

Combined with Friday night’s 2 - 1 overtime win the Fillies take the best of three games series 2 - 0.
Both games were hard fought overtime victories which could have gone either way.
FIRST PERIOD
The Fillies scored first at 11:08 on a Jayda Braun goal assisted by Hadley Braun.
Milestone tied the game at 7:44 on a Cara Faris goal assisted by Peighton Materi.
SECOND PERIOD
The Flyers took the lead at 17:56 when former Moose Jaw Mavericks product Kiana Hrechka scored.
Assists went to Materi and Allison Duncan.
THIRD PERIOD
With 1:01 remaining in regulation play the Fillies tied the game up on Jayda Braun’s second goal.
The assist went to Paige Haskey.
FIFTH OVERTIME PERIOD
The Fillies Tyler Wasylenka scored the game and series winner at 14:12 of the fifth overtime (eighth) period of play.
Assists went to Emma Mann and Marissa Holcomb.
