Man Remanded In Custody For Alleged Thefts At Downtown Businesses
A Moose Jaw man who allegedly stole from various Downtown shops was in Moose Jaw Provincial Court Tuesday morning to face the charges.
Appearing in the prisoner's box Bryson James Smith was in court facing charges for failing to attend court in September right up to his alleged own version of Live, Love, Local finishing up the new year.
Smith is alleged to have on:
December 29 Breach An Undertaking by being in the Mall
-December 31 within 50 meters of a business he was not to be near
December 31 stole a fanny pack
December 31 stole three hoodies
December 22 stole from a store he was suppose to remain 50 meters away from
December 22 consumed edibles without paying from a convenience store
December 23 consumed edibles without paying for them from the same convenience store
December 24 stole from Giant Tiger
December 24 stole from a small Downtown retailer
December 5 Uttered a threat or death threat
In November breach an order not to possess firearms or weapons
Sept 12 Fail to attend court
Smith was remanded in custody until his next court date on January 25.
As with all accused Smith is to be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
