Saskatchewan Health Authority Letter Says Outbreak Declared At King George School
The spread of COVID - 19 in the community has now reached the doors of King George School as parents have been told there is an outbreak at the school.
The letter (pictured below) to parents, staff and students reads “Public Health staff are investigating multiple cases of COVID - 19 at King George.”
The lettter also stated when an outbreak was declared there may not be any letters sent if additional cases are found at the school.
The letter goes on to request people to self monitor and “if anyone develops symptoms, they must self isolate at home and seek testing immediately.”
The letter additionally includes the measures being taken to try to control the outbreak.
Premier Scott Moe has recently announced mandatory mask measures in all indoor facilities plus additional measures to help stop the spread of the COVID - 19 Delta variant which he blamed squarely on people who have so far refused to be vaccinated.
The Prairie South School Division started off the school year without requiring masks at their schools but has since rescinded that policy and made it mandatory to wear masks at its Moose Jaw elementary schools effective September 13th due to the rise of Delta variant cases in the Moose Jaw area.
