SHA Warns About Potential COVID - 19 Exposure In A Regina Store

If you were shopping at the Real Canadian Superstore located at the Golden Mike Shopping Mall in Regina on August 7th between 7:30 pm and 8 pm you potentially picked up something you did not bargain for.

Although the risk is low for transmission the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) has issued a public alert that someone who had COVID - 19 was in the store.

The SHA is issuing the alert as part of their response when it is unknown if someone who is potentially infectious attends a place where contact tracing is difficult.

The SHA requests anyone in the business during the time specified self monitor for symptoms over the next 14 days.

The SHA is encouraging all provincial residents to seek testing if you are experiencing symptoms and is reminding everyone that testing is available for anyone.

If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, contact HealthLine 811, a nurse practitioner or your family physician for advice on whether you should be tested for COVID-19:

• Fever
• Cough
• Headache
• Muscle and/or joint aches and pains
• Sore throat
• Chills
• Runny nose
• Nasal congestion
• Conjunctivitis
