Eighth Annual Car Show Goes Off Without A Hitch

On Saturday the Friends of the Forces Fellowship held their eighth annual car show on the Moose Jaw Exhibition Grounds.

Joyce Walter chairperson of the car show said the hot weather hurt the show but despite that there was a steady stream of spectators.

Volunteer wise there were 115 volunteers this year.

“We were really pleased with the number of volunteers,” Walter said.

Cars came from as far as Alberta and Manitoba with calls coming from other centres to inquire about attending.

Funds raised are reinvested into the community.

The Friends of the Forces support military families, veterans, cadets and other worthy charities that might approach the group.

Over eight years the car show has raised close to $175,000.
