Last Day Of The Fair Has Plenty To See And Do

It may be the last day of the 2022 Moose Jaw Hometown Fair but there is still a full slate of events and entertainment for fairgoers of all ages.

The Hometown Fair runs from noon until 8 pm with its ever popular Midway.

This year there is not a half priced children’s day but gate admission is free for those six and under, adults $15 and students and seniors $10. An all you can ride pass costs $50 or you may purchase individual tickets for the Midway rides.

Entertainment

The RCMP Musical Ride will perform for the fourth and final time at 4 pm on Sunday.

So far the performances have seen packed seating with large appreciative audiences.

Here is an added tip if you want to see the members of the Musical Ride warm up and you are very quiet you may go to the Golden Mile Arena and watch them. Additionally there is a really good locally run cafeteria in the Golden Mile Arena which are offering some really good food at decent prices.

The concession is open throughout the Fair and there is a quiet sit down indoor eating area with washroom access.

Moose Jaw’s own Magic By Chris will be out roaming the Moose Jaw Hometown Fair grounds performing magic.

He may approach you offer to show you some magic. If you want to see some magic just go up to him and ask guaranteed he won’t disappear.

Catch him just before the Musical Ride as he will be out there performing. Your kids will enjoy it.

The ever popular Canine Stars - who were featured on America’s Got Talent - will be performing three shows on Sunday. If you want to see some great acrobatics by dogs that were at one time rescue dogs this is the show to see.

After the Moose Jaw Hometown Fair the Canine Stars are off to the Calgary Stampede so they are top quality entertainment.

The Canine Stars perform at 1 pm, 3 pm and 5 pm.

The outgoing Mr Circus will be out walking on stilts high above the crowd and performing as he goes along.

He will also be performing shows out on the fairgrounds at 1:30 pm and at 5:30 pm.

For those of you who like to see people play with fire Mr Circus will be performing his final Fire Show at 7 pm.

Step back in time with Blast From The Past as the Golden Nugget building goes back to the age of dinosaurs and turns into a reptile house.

See not only dinosaurs but also living reptiles up close and personal. You even have the opportunity to ask questions and feel some of the creatures you may have seen as just slithering.

Blast From The Past has two shows at 12:30 pm, 2:30 pm and 6 pm.

And for people with children who want to let them run off some of that extra energy while you sit and enjoy something to drink check out the Bouncy Castles.

Located in the Moose Jaw Exhibition’s Convention Centre the Bouncy Castles are great for the kids as you sit in air conditioned comfort.

If you are looking for something to eat and drink check out Supermeats Catering a local firm which run the concession in the Convention Centre. You don’t have to eat or drink though to come inside to have a rest or let your kids or grandkids to use the bouncy castles.

Additionally the Convention Centre has both men’s, women’s and accessible washrooms.

The Bouncy Castles are open from Noon to 7 pm at the Kid’s Inflatable Playzone.
