Former Mavericks Contribute To Weyburn Victory

Three former Moose Jaw Bantam A Mavericks played key roles in Weyburn's Bantam AA squad recording their first win of the season.

Playing for the Southeast Bert Baxter Transport Gold Wings the trio of Jasmine Kohl, Payton Copeland and Jessie Mielke each managed to notch points in Weyburn's 6 - 2 victory over the Warman Wildcats on Sunday.

Kohl and Mielke each had a goal and an assist while Copeland notched an assist.

Kohl and Mielke are both from Moose Jaw and Copeland is from Pense.

Copeland, Kohl and Mielke are three of five players from last season's provincial finalist Mavericks Bantam A squad playing in other centres this season. Brooke Archer is playing Bantam AA for Swift Current and Ellie Gauvin is playing with Notre Dame in Wilcox.
