New Crew Costing Causes Questions

The impact of the new waterworks crew on the Utilities Budget had Council asking a few questions on some budget lines to understand the effect the new crew had on the budget.

The discussion went farther into the Utilities Budget with one councillor claiming $1.2 million is being charged as a franchise fee to subsidize the Operating Budget so as to hide the true amount of taxation required to run the City’s services.
