Canucks U18 AA Start Provincials With A Victory

It has been a season of ups and downs for the Moose Jaw Canucks U18 AA in 2024 on Friday at the Tier 2 provincial playoffs they were on the up side literally batting in another victory.
The Canucks opened their provincial playoff run in a see saw battle defeating the Saskatoon Athletics 17 - 12.
The Canucks had 17 hits versus 11 hits by the Athletics.
Moose Jaw got on the scoreboard quickly scoring three runs in the first inning.
Riley Cushway hit a strong triple scoring two runs followed up by a hit by Spencer Craig scoring a run.
The second inning saw the Canucks extend their offensive power as they scored five runs on five hits.
The third inning saw the Canucks take what should have been a commanding 9 - 1 lead.
The Canucks exploded offensively in the seventh inning when they scored six runs on three hits with the Athletics surging forward.
The Athletics were sharp eyed at the plate managing to wrack up 14 walks in the game.
Moose Jaw’s Spencer Craig was the Canucks top batter at the plate.
The third baseman went 5 for 5 at the plate with five runs batted in.
Other standouts for the Canucks were Jesse Lesperance, Karsen Pruden, Riley Cushway and Hudson Tallon who all had multiple hits.
Kyren Ernest was sharp eyed at the plate managing to record two walks.
The Canucks next game is tomorrow at 8 am as they face the Lumsden Cubs.
