Canucks U18 AA Come Up Just Short In Battle For Final Playoff Spot

It was a case of oh so close but they just fell short as the Moose Jaw Canucks U18 AA fell to the Regina White Sox 8 - 6 on Tuesday evening.

The Canucks AAs battled hard in an attempt for a come from behind victory.

Trailing 8 - 1 the Canucks scoring five runs at the top of the seventh inning.

The loss was a double play against the Canucks AA season.

Not only did they drop further down in the standings but a win over the White Sox would have tripled the Canucks playoff hopes as a win would have vaulted them from ninth to eighth place and the final playoff spot.

Offensively the Canucks edged the White Sox with 11 hits versus 10 hits by Regina.

Riley Cushway, Ryder Hicks, Tyson Ross and Hudson Tallon each had two hits for the Canucks in the losing effort.

Spencer Craig had two RBIs for Moose Jaw with a 1 - 3 record at the plate.

The next game for the Canucks is Friday evening versus the Calgary Blues.
