Quarter Horses Show Their Stuff This Weekend

If you like to go out and check out equestrian events it’s another big weekend up at the Moose Jaw Exhibition’s Golden Mile Arena - 250 Thatcher Drive East - as the Saskatchewan Quarter Horse Association is holding their major four day spring show.

Set to start tomorrow, Friday May 17, the show will run throughout the Victoria Day long weekend on Monday.

The show gets underway at 9 am daily and runs until done as it is a competitive event.

Admission is free and the public is welcome to attend.

The ever popular concession will be open for the event.

The show will feature both new and the regular standard of events.

Many of the events, such as trail, are based upon a horse and rider performing tasks they would face out on the range maintaining a cattle herd.

The events are based upon skill and horsemanship.

Although numbers are yet to be finalized, the show will draw about 100 participants from across Saskatchewan.
