Huskies Girls Team Captures Silver Medal

Experience and size seemed like an impenetrable brick wall for the Palliser Heights Huskies girls basketball team as they fell 68 - 42 to the Assiniboia Rockets at the South Central Bantam Girls Districts.

The grade seven and eight Huskies team started the tournament with a 48 - 21 victory over the Assiniboia Elementary School Jets to move into the gold medal game

The Huskies have had a stellar season not losing one game in Moose Jaw league play.

In the championship game the Huskies trailed 22 - 13 at the end of the First Quarter.

The score at Halftime was Huskies 32 and Rockets 20.

The Third Quarter saw the Huskies out score the Rockets by a margin of 18 to 13. The score at the end of the quarter was Rockets 45 and the Huskies 38.

Despite the comeback in the third quarter the Huskies would stumble in the Fourth Quarter and the Final Score was Rockets 68 - 42.
