Junior Basketball Regular Season Wrapping Up
The coming week will see a flurry of games in the Moose Jaw city league’s junior basketball division.
Not only is the schedule full but additionally it is the last week of the regular season for junior and junior varsity play.
The division has yet to announce the date and times for the playoffs.
Junior Boys
The Junior Boys division has been dominated by the Central Cyclones Red team with a perfect 10 - 0 record.
The next closest team is the Vanier Vikings junior boys team with a 5 - 4 record.
Junior Girls
The Central Cyclones are leading the junior girls division by a single game over the last two seasons Vanier Spirits.
The Cyclones hold a 6 - 2 record whereas the Spirits regular season record is 5 - 3.
JV Boys
The largely rural JV (Junior Varsity) boys division has seen the high flying South Hill Royal Falcons dominate the regular season.
The boys from the combined school team of Cornerstone Christian School and Riverview Collegiate have put on quite a show with a 8 - 1 record.
They’ll have a big game on Wednesday in Assiniboia versus the rockets.
JV Girls
With many of the junior girls teams largely reliant on grade nine rookies the Briercrest/Cornerstone Cougars girls JV team has used size and experience to dominate on the court.
The Cougars hold a perfect 9 - 0 record.
