On Friday night the Moose Jaw Warriors pulled one out by the skin of their teeth, defeating the Lethbridge Hurricanes late into the second overtime period.
Both teams were guaranteed to be a bit tired coming into Game 2 on Saturday night.
However, on account of the tribe were playing with home ice advantage, they’d certainly have energy and adrenaline in their corner.
The tribe was able to cut through the stingy Canes defence earlier in Game 2.
Their offence was a little more active and Lethbridge struggled gaining any sort of momentum.

Atley Calvert made good use of a Power Play and scored the opener in the 13th minute.
Logan Dowhaniuk put a shot on the net, Bryan Thomson made the save, but Calvert was waiting to collect the rebound. One Moose Jaw kid beating another Moose Jaw kid.
Ryder Korczak potted a second goal halfway into the second period.
Up until that point it was a pretty close game.
Thomson was still incredibly tough to score on.
But the key difference was that the Warriors were able to convert opportunities into goals.

The Warriors officially took flight in the third frame, where they scored three more times, blowing the game out of the water.
Big Lucas Brenton scored the first one, forcing a loose puck into the net.
Denton Mateychuck scored the second one, a real pretty goal.
Then Brenton added one more. A rare two goal game from the big guy.

Somewhere in there Anton Astashevich scored one for Lethbridge, ensuring Connor Ungar wouldn’t go home with a shutout.
That’s how it wrapped up. Warriors win 5-1, taking a comfortable 2-0 series lead.
Moose Jaw plays their best hockey when they create goals from their defence and that’s exactly what they did in Game 2.
Defenceman scored three goals and recorded a point on all five.
Korczak, Calvert and Ungar were listed as the three stars although it easily could have been Dowhaniuk (2 assists), Brenton (2 goals) and Mateychuk (prettiest goal).
Game 3 goes on Tuesday night, in Lethbridge.
In other WHL playoff action, Calgary tied the series with Lethbridge, winning 2-1. Winnipeg took a commanding 2-0 series lead over Medicine Hat with a 5-2 victory.
Portland beat Everett 4-0, giving them a 2-0 lead. Prince George broke even with Tri-City after a 2-1 victory. Both Seattle and Kamloops took 2-0 leads, over Kelowna and Vancouver, respectively. Those scores were 4-1 and 6-1.
