15 Wing Hosting 2023 Canadian Armed Forces Canada West Curling Championship
15 Wing Moose Jaw will host the 2023 Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) Canada West Curling Championship until Friday, December 8 at the Moose Jaw Events Centre.
This year, seven teams coming from Comox, Cold Lake, Edmonton, Esquimalt, Shilo, Winnipeg and Moose Jaw will battle for the championship. Teams will play a minimum of sixround robin games, with the top four advancing to semi-final games.
Round robin tournament will begin Tuesday morning. Games will be played at 9:00am, 1:00pm and 7:00pm daily. The championship final will be held on Friday at 11:00 am.Spectators are welcome to attend.
It is the second year in a row that 15 Wing and Moose Jaw Events Centre welcome the competition. CAF Canadian West Region Curling Championships were held last year after a two-years hiatus due to COVID-19.
Last year, 15 Wing Moose Jaw representatives led by skip, Corporal Jonathan Benson lost in the championship final against Winnipeg.
