Basketball Development Camp With An International Flair Coming To Moose Jaw
In just over a week’s time some of the top basketball coaches from Belgium and Canada will be coming to Moose Jaw to lend their expertise and experience to local basketball players.
Put on by Golden Ticket Sports (located in the former Hillcrest Sports Centre) the June 14th player development camp is being billed as an opportunity to learn better basketball in an environment that is a fusion of Canadian and European coaching perspectives.
The camps will be held in 15 centres in eight different provinces - with Moose Jaw being one of the clinic locations.
Elite Athletes (EA) is a grassroots and youth basketball academy and training facility based in Antwerp, Belgium. EA was founded in Antwerp, Belgium by Joerik Michiels and Olivier Goegetluck with the goal of providing youth basketball with the opportunity to develop game skills in a community-oriented environment.
The clinic will be ran by Joerik Michiels, who has been a trainer to 150 pro athletes and an NBL Europe skills trainer, Mathieu Ditiege, a Basketball Belgium shooting coach and Tanner Brightman a former Canada Games coach.
