Bilous Named WHL Goaltender Of The Week
I t has been a year since the Moose Jaw Warriors took to the ice but stellar goaltending by Boston Bilous not only lead the team to two straight wins over the weekend but it also led to the 6 foot 3 inch 188 pound netminder being named the Western Hockey League’s (WHL) Goaltender Of The Week.
Bilous had a 1.90 goals-against average and .920 save percentage to his name through two games, having stopped 46 of the 50 shots sent his way.
The veteran Warriors net-minder stopped 19 out of 22 shots in last Friday’s (March 12th) season opener against the Brandon Wheat Kings and on Sunday (March 14th) against the Prince Albert Raiders Bilous turned in a 27 save performance in a 2 - 1 victory.
Presently the Warriors have a record of 2 - 0 - 0 in their 24 game 2020 - 2021 regular season.
Bilous and the Warriors will take on the Regina Pats on Tuesday, March 16 (8 p.m.) from the Subway WHL Hub in Regina.
