Milestone Flyers And Southwest Cyclones Play To Three - Three Tie

By Robert Thomas

GULL LAKE - It wasn’t for the lack of scoring opportunities but the Milestone Flyers could only manage a 3 - 3 tie against the Southwest Cyclones in Saskatchewan Female Hockey League U 18A action Saturday evening in Gull Lake.

The scoring opened early in the first period with Milestone’s Nikita Halyk scoring an unassisted marker at the 18:52 mark.

The Cyclones would respond shortly after as Chase Collier would likewise score an unassisted marker at 17:29 of the first as Chase Collier would skate in on the right wing and shoot a knuckleball through traffic into the blocker side of Flyers netminder Kammie Kaufmann.

Scoring opportunity and puck possession wise the first period belonged to the Flyers who despite netting three goals had many other stellar opportunities to put the game out of the Cyclones grasp.
