Warriors To Host Special Game On Friday Evening

The Moose Jaw Warriors might be facing the Saskatoon Blades this Friday but they are also out there for a cause as they will be hositng their third annual WHL Suits Up To Promote Organ Donation Presented By RE/MAX.

The Warriors will sport their own retro logo worn by Hockey Night in Canada broadcasters for nearly fifty years beginning in 1952 (when the program started) until 1988.

The jerseys also feature the words ‘The Logan Boulet Effect’ printed along the inside of the neckline to pay tribute to Logan Boulet.

Boulet was a member of the SJHL’s Humboldt Broncos. Boulet passed away in the tragic bus crash that claimed the lives of 16 people on April 6, 2018.

When Boulet lay dying in hospital and the prognosis was he would not survive his parents honoured his wishes and his organs were donated helping six people in Canada. In the aftermath 100,000 people signed their organ donation cards becoming known as ‘The Logan Boulet Effect.’

Fans will have the opportunity to bid on the jerseys with 100 percent of donations going to The Kidney Foundation Of Canada.
