Police Arrest Man Following Alleged Stabbing
With violent crime up both provincially and locally in 2023 the trend continued Friday as a 21 year old man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
According to news release the Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS) responded to a stabbing at 6:37 pm on Friday evening.
MJPS attended the scene where they located a male with multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported by EMS to hospital with what are described as serious but not life-threatening injuries.
The 21-year-old male was arrested at the scene and charged with Aggravated Assault.
The victim and accused were known to each other.
The 21 year old accused was remanded and will make his first appearance in Moose Jaw Provincial Court on Monday, July 29, 2024.
The MJPS has not released the identity of the accused nor where the alleged aggravated assault took place.
