Environment Canada Issues Severe Thunderstorm Watch For Moose Jaw Area
At 1:11 pm Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the Moose Jaw - Pense - Central Butte and Craik areas.
Environment has issued tornado watches for areas of the province to the north and Moose Jaw is NOT included. They ask people to remember severe thunderstorms can spawn tornadoes.
Conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts, damaging hail and heavy rain. A severe thunderstorm outbreak is possible Sunday afternoon and evening, the watch statement reads.
There is the possibility of torrential rain, strong wind gusts, torrential rain and hail.
