Military Flyby Tomorrow To Honour Last Moose Jaw WW II Vet
The last surviving World War II veteran in Moose Jaw - Allen Al Cameron - who passed away on August 29th at F.H. Wigmore Hospital will be memorialized in a flyby by the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) tomorrow.
The flyby will take place on tomorrow, September 7, 2023, at approximately 2:00 p.m. CST, following Mr Cameron’s Funeral Service.
The aircraft will precisely fly over Moose Jaw Funeral Home, located on Mulberry Lane in Moose Jaw, at an altitude no lower than 500 feet above the highest obstacle on their route.
15 Wing is humbled to honour the memory of Al Cameron, a local and Saskatchewan hero who served in the RCAF during the Second World War as an airplane mechanic, a release stated.
15 Wing Commander, Colonel Dan Coutts and Wing Chief Warrant Officer, Rachel Fox will attend the funeral.
