15 Wing Moose Jaw Has New Commander

This morning, Colonel Daniel Coutts assumed command of 15 Wing Moose Jaw, the centre of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) aircrew training, from Colonel Jonathan Bouchard.
Brigadier-General John Alexander, Commander of the 2 Canadian Air Division, presided over the ceremony held at the 15 Wing Headquarters, in Moose Jaw, Sask.
Col Coutts joins 15 Wing Moose Jaw from 1 Canadian Air Division in Winnipeg where he served previously as the Combined Aerospace Operations Centre Director.
Most recently he was the Director of Plans at 1 Canadian Air Division, responsible for force generation and collective training exercises and activities.
At 15 Wing, he will lead RCAF ab Initio pilot training which includes both 2 Canadian Forces Training School (2 CFFTS) in Moose Jaw and 3 CFFTS in Portage la Prairie, Man.
Col Coutts will also be responsible for 431 Air Demonstration Squadron, which is based in Moose Jaw.
He replaces Col Jonathan Bouchard who led the Wing over the last two years.
Pilot by trade, Col Bouchard was appointed in July 2021.
Col Bouchard is now posted as the Air Force Advisor to the Canadian Defence Liaison Staff, in London, United Kingdom and the Canadian Defence Attaché to Iceland.
