MJPS Charge Pair With Weapons Charge
The Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS) has taken more weapons off of the street after a report that two individuals were firing what appeared to be a handgun on South Hill late Friday afternoon.
At approximately 5:45 pm on Friday May 12th the MJPS responded to a citizen’s complaint about what appeared to be two individuals firing a handgun.
The MJPS manage to intercept the two suspects on bicycle who had been drinking and firing, was turned out to be a BB gun painted to appear to be a real handgun.

The two suspects we’re alleged to have had a BB gun and three knives in their possession, when arrested by the MJPS.
The pair have been charged with possessing weapons against a public peace and we’re released to appear in court at a later date.
The MJPS would like to remind people that firing a CO2 powered gun in the City of Moose Jaw is illegal.
