Car Show Organizers Provide Instructions About Parking For Event

For those attending the 6th Highway To Heroes car show tomorrow at the Moose Jaw Exhibition Grounds (250 Thatcher Drive East) the organizers would like you to know the following things.

For spectators there is free parking at the Moose Jaw Exhibition Grounds but the only access for it is through the north gate located on Diefenbaker Drive (the road to the hospital). Parking there is on grass and there are volunteer parking attendants there.

Additionally there is free parking compliments the Real Canadian Superstore and at Canadian Tire.

Spectators are free to enter on foot through either the fence between the Moose Jaw Exhibition Grounds and the Real Canadian Superstore or you may enter on foot through the gates on Thatcher Drive East.

The spectator gates open at 10 am.

For exhibitors you may enter through either of the two gates on Thatcher Drive East or you are also allowed to enter through the north gate on Diefenbaker Drive.

The car show gates for exhibitors opens at 8:30 am.

Admission, which includes all car show activities, is $10 for adults; $5 for children six to 12 years; and free for pre-school age.

Car show gates open at 8:30 a.m. and the spectator gate opens at 10 a.m.

Additionally the event organizers would like to remind anybody attending there is access to come inside into air conditioning because of the heat as well as there will be emergency personnel on duty.

Friends Of The Forces (formerly known as 15 Wing Fellowship) is a local group which has local projects which have an emphasis on military families and veterans.

Close to $120,000 raised from past shows has been donated to various projects including the Moose Jaw Military Family Resource Centre, cadet organizations, Stars Ambulance, Moose Jaw Health Foundation, Wounded Warriors, Quilts of Valour, Support Our Troops, Make a Wish Foundation, Moose Jaw Transition House, Moose Jaw Food Bank, school scholarships, Remembrance Day observances and Salvation Army toy drives.

Organizers say they would like to publicly thank local and area businesses who are once again contributing through financial and in-kind support. They would also like to thank the 100 volunteers who give their time to make the event happen.
