Playground Program Set To Fire Up

With school wrapped up for another year the City of Moose Jaw is set to start another year of their highly popular Summer Playground Program.

Held in various parks and locations in the city the Summer Playground Program is designed to allow children between the ages of 6 - 12. The program is free of charge.

Running from July 4th to August 25th the program runs Monday to Friday from 10 am to 4 pm.

Children are allowed to either bring their lunch or go home for lunch over the noon hour.

The program will be run in the following parks:

  • 1996 Summer Games Playground: 16th Ave SW (Spray Park)

  • Elgin Park: 1000 block 8th Ave NW (Spray Park)

  • Kinsmen East End Park 9th Ave. N.E. & Ominica St. E (Coop Spray Park)

  • Optimist Park: 5th Ave SW & Lillooet St W

  • Sunningdale Park: Daffodil Drive (off of Dogwood Road)

  • West End Park: 10th Ave NW and Athabasca St W

Staff program each location with training in the areas of being a caring adult, play, friends, mastery and participation.

Each staff member is certified with HIGH FIVE ® Principles of Healthy Child Development, Standard First Aid and CPR.
