Police Tactical Team Arrest Shooter
By Robert Thomas
Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS) along with their tactical team arrested a man on the 400 Block of Ross Street West about 10:30 pm on Friday evening after at least three shots were fired.
It is unknown at press time exactly what sparked the incident which had Central Collegiate locked down at the request of the MJPS.
MJ Independent was on the scene and ended up inside the final police barricade as the yet to be identified shooter fired three shots.
Below is raw unedited video of the standoff within meters of the MJPS and the shooter during the negotiations before the arrest.
At one time two unidentified members of a tactical raised their weapons and lights on MJ Independent’s reporter - as they started to surround the house - and asked our reporter to raise his hands and identify himself as he was at 340 Ross Street West before any police arrived.
Part way through the standoff the police ordered everyone next door to evacuate including MJ Independent but we were able to video the arrest at a distance see the raw unedited video below.
No further details of the incident and what led up to were released at press time.
We will keep you updated the best that we can.
