SHA Issues Warning About Increased Exposure Risk At Brown's Social House

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) has issued a public service announcement about the increased risk of exposure to COVID - 19 if you were at Brown’s Social House, 11 River Street West during the last days of August.

The SHA has issued the warning for the following dates and times:

  • Thursday, August 26: 12:00 p.m. to 11:45 p.m.

  • Saturday, August 28: 5:00 p.m. to 1 a.m.

  • Sunday, August 29: 5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

  • Monday, August 30: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  • Tuesday, August 31: 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The SHA in there news release stated that unless someone who was in the restaurant/lounge during the times indicated was vaccinated they must immediately self isolate for 14 days based upon the day they were in the restaurant.

Self-isolation means you need to stay home, avoid contact with anyone who is not fully vaccinated (individuals who are considered fully vaccinated have received two doses of vaccine and are at least two weeks past their second dose), and stay away from work, school, stores, social events and any other public setting.

As per Disease Control Regulationsall individuals in attendance during these dates and times should:

·         Immediately self-isolate and remain on isolation for 14 days from most recent date of attendance

·         Seek testing for COVID-19 immediately

Exception: If you have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine, and the second dose was received 14 days prior to attendance, you do not need to self-isolate but:

·         Self-monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 for 14 days from most recent date of attendance

·         If symptoms develop, start self-isolating immediately and seek testing
