Regina Police Seeking Information On People Allegedly Breaching Public Health Order

If you were part of a maskless group that allegedly walked into Regina’s Cornwall Centre on April 24th or know who they are the Regina Police Service (RPS) would like to hear from you.

In a news release the RPS has requested the public’s assistance in identifying 18 unknown individuals who allegedly entered the Regina mall in what is alleged “moved about in the mall in apparent breach of the Public Health orders.”

“Another event on the same day presents an opportunity for the public to help. The Regina Police Service is looking to identify individuals contravening the provision of the Public Health Order that requires people to wear masks in public indoor spaces, such as malls and markets. On April 24, 2021, a large number of people entered the Cornwall Centre Shopping Mall, at 2102-11th Avenue, without masks, and moved about in the mall in apparent breach of the Public Health Orders. The Regina Police Service has posted videos of these individuals at www.reginapolice.ca/help-identify/ . You can view close-ups of maskless individuals and, if you recognize someone, scroll down the page to leave a confidential tip. Citizens who want to leave a tip can also simply call Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477,” the RPS said in the news release.

The RPS has set up a page on their web-site as well as asked those with information to contact Crime Stoppers.

In their news release the RPS also say they have so far issued 16 tickets for breaching public health measures with more yet to be served.

The RPS has set up a confidential reporting page with video of the 18 people they are seeking - it can be accessed by clicking the link.
