Telemiracle Raises More Than $5 Million Despite Pandemic
It may have been a year where they could not have an audience and there was a lot of pre-recorded performances but despite the precautions taken due to the COVID - 19 pandemic Telemiracle 45 was yet another resounding success.
Despite the restrictions the annual telethon raised $5,630,215.
Put on by the Kinsmen Foundation the annual telethon raises money to provide special needs equipment, travel assistance, program funding and medical treatment to those who need and cannot afford it.
Moose Jaw groups such as Moose Jaw Families For Change and others in the community have received funding over the years through the Kinsmen Foundation. Individuals in Moose Jaw have also benefitted from the Foundation’s help.
Despite the pandemic Telemiracle 45 raised $5,630,215 in 2021 which is slightly higher than last year’s (Telemiracle 44) which raised $5,523,472.
The record amount raised was in Telemiracle 42 which brought in $7,151,256.
The telethon was broadcast from Saskatoon.
