Charges Laid In Cocaine Bust

The Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS) has announced they have arrested a Moose Jaw resident on drug related charges on the weekend.

In a news release the MJPS allege as a result of an ongoing drug investigation they have arrested a 38 year old Mitch Schoffer and charged him with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and proceeds of crime over $5,000.

The MJPS allege they found 15 ounces of cocaine with an estimated street value of $42,000 and $83,000 in Canadian currency. The narcotics and cash were found as a result of a search warrant executed at a South Hill residence this past Saturday.

Schoffer is being held in custody until he appears in court where he may apply for release if he choses to do so.
