Cougar Shot Dead By Police

If you are wondering what has happened to the cougar that was spotted wandering through the community yesterday the Moose Jaw Police Service say it was put down last evening for public safety reasons.

Police used a drone to track down the wandering cougar.

The cougar was initially spotted on September 21st in a resident’s doorbell camera. The cougar was later sighted in the neighbourhood forcing a lockdown of King George School and St Agnes School for safety reasons.

Unconfirmed reports from residents to MJ Independent have the cougar cornered and killed by police in Elgin Park last evening at approximately 8:45 pm.
