Intersection Closed Until Further Notice

The intersection of 2nd Avenue NW and Fairford Street will be closed starting today until further notice.

The reason for the closure is because of the Cast Iron Water Main Program. The City is closing the intersection to allow crews to tie replaced pipe to the existing infrastructure.

Although not initially approved as part of Phase Five of the program the 2nd Ave NW section from Manitoba Street West to Fairford Street West was added after it was discovered the line ties into the High Street W line.

The City would like to remind residents that all area businesses remain open during construction.

Alternate access points are available via High St. West and 3rd Avenue NW.

The City asks all drivers to obey signage and exercise caution in construction zones for the safety of everyone.
