Unsettled weather may impact Moose Jaw and area this evening and through the night as Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch.

Additionally a tornado watch was issued through the emergency response network.

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.

Thunderstorms are developing over south-central Saskatchewan along a trough of low pressure. Some of these thunderstorms may become severe this evening or overnight.
