Landfill Now Accepting Debit And Credit Cards

It has been a major complaint for many the cash only policy at the landfill.

Well if you are headed out to the dump and then remember you do not have any cash on you the good words from now on are the landfill will not only accept debit cards but credit cards as well.

It is all part of a service enhancement which also includes the option of using credit cards to pay for the following at City Hall - Parking Tickets - Bus Passes - Park Smart Cards - Licenses (Business and Dog Licenses) - All types of Permits that are $750 or less.

The $750 credit card limit also applies to the Landfill.

The inability to use debit cards has been seen as a major nuisance to many people with Councillor Scott McMann bringing the issue to the forefront in February 2019.
