Two City Employees Receive Awards

Moose Jaw – The City of Moose Jaw is proud to announce that two City employees have been recognized by the Saskatchewan Public Works Association (SPWA) for outstanding contributions.
At the annual SPWA convention (being held this week in Regina) Manager of Utilities, Darrin Stephanson was given the Professional Manager of the Year Award for Administrative Management.
According to the SPWA, the award “seeks to recognize outstanding achievement in the area of administration within the public works department and to inspire excellence and dedication in the public sector by recognizing the outstanding career service achievements of administrative professionals.”
Additionally, Environmental Services Supervisor for the City of Moose Jaw, Jesse Watamanuk, was named Public Works Person of the Year.
According to the SPWA, the award “recognizes the outstanding service to the profession, the public and the SPWA by an individual who truly exemplifies the public works official”.
The City of Moose Jaw congratulates Darrin and Jesse on their well-deserved recognition, and thanks them for their dedication and leadership within their departments.
