Province Tightens COVID - 19 Preventive Rules In Wake Of Rising Numbers
In response to the increasing cases of COVID - 19 the Saskatchewan Health Authority has announced more stringent rules to prevent the spread of the virus.
Effective Friday November 6th the size of gatherings at private homes is being reduced from 15 to ten.
The stringent rules apply not only to private homes but also includes those household members who ordinarily reside in the dwelling. Any event that occurs in a private dwelling and any outbuildings (garages, etc.) including weddings, religious gathering and funerals must abide by the ten person gathering limit.
Residences where more than ten family members normally reside will be exempt from the new rule.
Recently a Moose Jaw man was fined $2,800 for holding a house party where the numbers of guests had attendees exceeding 200 guests.
Additionally if you are in Regina, Saskatoon and Prince Albert you must wear a mask while in indoor public spaces in those communities.
The province also asks all residents province-wide to select one family member to go shopping and run errands. They additionally ask that the family member limit those errands/shopping to once per week.
