Resident Fined $2,800 For Not Self Isolating
Failing to self isolate when they had COVID - 19 has resulted in the Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS) issuing a hefty ticket to the individual.
The individual, who tested positive for COVID - 19, was fined $2800 for failing to comply with a Public Health Order.
MJPS laid the charge after receiving a complaint, doing an investigation and then consulting with Saskatchewan Health.
Following the consultation with Saskatchewan Health the MJPS laid the charge of non compliance with a public health order and the $2,800 fine.
MJPS and public health have taken steps to alert anyone who had close contact with the individual.
