Brian Martynook Seeking Position On Prairie South Board
Prairie South School Divison has another candidate for Subdivision Six as Brian Martynook has been nominated for election. Subdivison Six (Moose Jaw) has five Board Members At Large.
Martynook was born and raised in Moose Jaw.
According to his on-line profile he would like to take his many years of community service and now like to help provide oversight and contribute to Prairie South’s strategic vision.
“Serving my community has always been an integral part of my life, and I have served as a Director on the boards of the Five Hills Health Region, Habitat for Humanity, Moose Jaw Literacy, Hillcrest Sports Center and as the Moose Jaw representative on the Regina Airport Authority,” his on-line profile reads.
He is presently retired, after serving as the CEO of the Moose Jaw & District Chamber of Commerce. Before that, Martynook owned and operated MM Construction with my father and brother, a local business which operated continuously for over 50 years.
Sports have been important throughout his life, including playing hockey, football and curling and he has also coached youth involved in these sporting activities.
