Antique Threshing Machine And Sign Stolen Just West Of Moose Jaw

It has to be one of the weirdest thefts in the recent history of local crime but a person or persons unknown have stolen a threshing machine and sign that was used by the Sukanen Ship Museum as a means to advertise the museum.

The threshing machine was until recently located along the Trans Canada Highway near the map turnout about a mile west of the city where it publicized the local volunteer run museum south of Moose Jaw.

The threshing machine with its’ sign to tell tourists about the museum has been in the same location for years up until sometime in the last four days when it mysteriously disappeared. The threshing machine was sitting where it was with the permission of the Department of Highways.

The museum has discovered the theft and now they are looking for infomation to help identify the thief or thieves in hopes of recovering the museum’s property.

According to a statement the theft itself would not have been an easy one given the size of the threshing machine and likely had more than one perpetrator involved in stealing it. They are asking anyone who may have seen anything to come forward with information.

It is unknown exactly how the threshing machine was stolen so it could have been transported in a number of ways.
