Jody Chell Running For Council
The second declared candidate for Council is Jody Chell.
According to her profile on the City’s election web-site she is running for Council because she has a passion to help others.
“Through her community involvement, Jody has spent countless hours with Moose Jaw residents. Her passion for the community is her motivation for seeking a seat on council. She would like the opportunity to be the voice of the people that often feel unheard,” her on-line profile states.
Chell has lived in Moose Jaw for 36 years and is the single mother of an 18 year old daughter.
At the present time Chell is working towards her Human Justice Degree with the goal of attending Law School, her focus is Indigenous Studies. She is also self employed as an Occupational Health and Safety Practitioner consultant.
Chell would like to see a more transparent and open civic government. She would like to see honest and transparent communication between residents and administration. If elected, she will maintain an open-door policy to allow Moose Javians to speak.
