Landfill To Be Temporarily Closed

The City of Moose Jaw would like to inform residents the Moose Jaw Landfill will be closed September 24th (Tuesday) from 9:30 am - 11 am.

The reason for the closure is to allow a survey of areas of the landfill with a drone. The closure is safety related.

The survey is needed to assess the air space of the landfill. According to the landfill's operational permit issued by the Province the landfill is only to be of a set height (air space) or capacity until it needs to be closed.

The survey will assist the City in determining how close they are to reaching the maximum capacity.
