Fire Chiefs Holding Convention
If you think there are a lot more women and men who can climb ladders, swing an axe and maybe even save a kitten stranded up a tree in town over the next few days you would be right. From April 4 - 6 Moose Jaw will be hosting the 69th annual Saskatchewan Association of Fire Chiefs Convention.
The theme of the conference is “Shaping the Future Together.”
To be held at Mosaic Place the convention will feature such topics as media and social media public service announcements, distracted driving awareness and firefighter mental health.
It will also feature a session on Firefighter Cancer Prevention something firefighters face as an occupational hazard on the job from such things as carcinogens in fires, in spills and other duties they may perform.
There will also be a trade show.
