CP Holiday Train Arrives Tonight

It is an annual Christmas tradition enjoyed by thousands and once again the CP Holiday Train chugs into Moose Jaw toniight.

Arriving at 7:45 pm from Regina the train will park at 3 Manitoba Street West just west of CP Station with the performance from 8 pm to 8:30 pm.

According to Environment Canada the weather forecast for this evening is predicted to have wind chill minus 13 Celsius this evening so please dress accordingly.

As part of the annual event people are asked to bring a non-perishable food item which will be donated to the Moose Jaw And District Food Bank. All food collected in Moose Jaw STAYS in Moose Jaw.

The CP Holiday Train is not just about entertainment but is CP’s way of helping spread the message about hunger and how everyone should have access to a proper diet.

Performing on the train will be Meghan Patrick, Tanika Charles and Kelly Prescott.

Meghan Patrick is a 32 year old contemporary country music singer-songwriter hailing from Bowmanville, Ontario and has been performing solo since 2016. In 2017 she received the Female Artist of the Year as well as the Risimg Star Award at the Canadian Countruy Music Awards. She recently received Juno Award nominations for Country Album of the Year and Breakthrough Artist.

Tanika Charles is a soul and rhythm and bluies singer who released her debut album Soul Run in 2016 and her second album The Gumptiion in May of this year. Soul Run won critical acclaim and Charles is well known on the festival circuit.

Kelly Prescott is a third generation Toronto born singer-songwriter who has strong ties to traditional country music who has toured across North America and appeared at the Grand Old Opry.

She is set to return to Moose Jaw to perform at the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre on February 19th with Great Big Sea’s lead vocalist Alan Doyle in a show close to reaching sell out. For tickets to the Moose Jaw show click here.
