Intersection Closing Temporarily

To facilitate the safe paving of trenching lines the intersection of 1st Avenue NW and Caribou Street will be closed starting today at noon.

Paving the trenching lines will continue into tomorrow with the City to update later when the intersection will be re-opening.

The teaching lines were dug to facilitate the installation of new traffic controls as part of the upgrade of the intersection. The intersection is being upgraded to assist with traffic flow and increase public safety.

Detours will be in place and the City asks all drivers to exercise caution in construction zones to ensure everyone’s safety.
