Exhibition Company Hopeful For Fair This Year As Planning Well Underway
It you were hoping for a Moose Jaw Hometown Fair this year by all appearances you may be in luck - that is if there is not a re- occurrence of COVID and the Province kicks in new mandates as a result.
That is the good word from George Fowler general manager of the Moose Jaw Exhibition Company.
“It look promising as long as something does not happen before (like new mandates),” Fowler said.
This past Wednesday the planning for the late June fair was about the mechanics of the event.
“We just started taking to agents and booking entertainment and yes we are book other things now (a fair needs such as portapotties and other incidentals).”
As usual the Fair will see West Coast Amusements bring their rides to the Friendly Exhibition after a two year hiatus.
“The Midway was booked unless something is drastic comes up out there. That is the plan,” Fowler said.
Asked about the feelings of the Exhibition Company and its Board he said the mood was optimistic and it is one of being happy to be able to put on the annual event this year.
“We are hopeful and looking forward to that (Fair happening) but there is always a risk or a chance we slip back into COVID issues but we are very hopeful for this year.”
