Hemingway Finds A Foster Home

Hi! Remember me. I am Hemingway ~ I have found someone to love!♥️

It wasn’t long after my friends at SCRAPS shared my story about ME “a special senior kitty” (I LOVE the word “special”) needing a home or even a foster home that the call came in!

The call….. we will always remember that call, from a very special person & the rest is HISStory!

My new foster Mama Carol is amazing! She now joins the dedicated team of other SUPPURR hero SCRAPS fosters helping save the lives of outdoor Cats & kittens since 2011! ♥️

Me & my foster Mom love each other lots & cuddle whenever we can. Something called “work” though seems to get in the way of our time together - I don’t think I like “work”!

I love sleeping close to my foster mom at night. It gives me such a warm feeling to have someone take such good care of me. And that other feeling….. it warms me from the inside & travels to the very tips of my polydactyl toes!….I think this is what everyone calls LOVE ! I know it is! I think I finally found it! ♥️

I’m even more HAPPY now & always try hard to be a good boy!

No knocking down plants for this good boy - nope!

I still PURR all the time & especially loudly when I see my foster Mama.

I want to be close to her & always try to tell her how much I love & appreciate her giving me a temporary home by giving her my famous head bumps.

It makes her smile.

I even try to pull her face closer to me by holding her with my supurr big feet! She laughs at me. I love when foster mama laughs. I just have so much LOVE to give ♥️

I know this isn’t my forever home but it’s the closest I’ve been to a “happy for ever after” for a really long time.

I know, you don’t have to tell me, I’m not as cute as those newby, fun kittens you see bouncing around as I’ve had a tough life (I like them too, who wouldn’t )but I am much better behaved than the best of them & a more loving, gentleman kitty will be hard to find. ♥️

Mama is so proud of me and how great I’ve done since coming to live with her.

I love looking out the window (happy to no longer be on the outside looking in) playtime, cuddling & mealtimes.

She proudly points out that I’m not as bony as when I arrived and am even getting a bit of a “tummy”! I love having a “tummy” because it makes foster mom laugh.

Even though they say I have feline Leukemia I am feeling good.

Do you think that LOVE has something to do with that? I think so. Even older Cats who may not live as long as others deserve a CHANCE. I’m so happy I found my CHANCE! ♥️

Do you know what? I think all lonely, homeless Cats should have their very own FOSTER family.

PURRsonally, I think you should not wait a single second & just DO IT! You can help make other sad and unloved Cats like I once was feel safe & special while they wait for their forever happy endings.

You ask what’s LOVE got to do with it?

I’ll tell you from the experience of a wise old kitty ……everything!

Please don’t be afraid to take a CHANCE on us who are not brand new & a little rough around the edges. We need love too & isn’t it about what is on the inside?♥️…..
