Nature Moose Jaw To Hold AGM Today In The Great Outdoors
It will be a case of living up to their name as Nature Moose Jaw will be holding their annual AGM in the great outdoors this afternoon.
The AGM will be held at 2 pm in Kinsmen Wellesley Park. Nature Moose Jaw asks all attendees to bring a lawn chair, water bottle and your ideas to the meeting.
The group will maintain social distancing protocols and asks that if anyone is feeling sick they stay home.
Members have been asked to contact President Richard Pickering about their concerns. Members are additionally asked to please provide a proxy if you are unable to attend as Nature Moose Jaw will need a quorum of the membership.
The main business to be discussed at the meeting will be nominations and election of directors and officers as well as waiving the (expensive) audit are. There are several vacant board positions; please consider volunteering to participate in this organization.
Members are asked to please call Richard at 306-690-6267 about their ideas and other issues that should be addressed.
The spectre of Climate Change will also be addressed at the meeting.

All positions will be open for nomination. Last year, Nature Moose Jaw’s board increased from four to eight members. We are hopeful that this year we will be able to add more assistants and increase our initiatives.
The current Objectives of Moose Jaw Nature Society are:
To investigate, study, discuss & conduct research into any sphere of the natural sciences
To inform the public of the importance of the natural science
To devise and support measures for the conservation of all flora and fauna
Despite the seriousness of their mission Nature Moose Jaw additionally holds educatonal meetings, outings and workshops where nature is not only discussed and explored but there is additionally socializing at hands on field trips.
